In the aftermath of the 2014 Ukrainian Maidan revolution, Russia occupied the Crimean Peninsula and
waged war in Eastern Ukraine. However, the coverage of the war is often portrayed on the geopolitical
issues rather than its major human rights implications. Ukrainian citizens are held as political prisoners in
Russian-controlled prisons. But who are the prisoners? Who gets released and who are still detained? Listen in to the interview with Ukrainian Human Rights activist Olexandra Matviychuk on the issue.
